This probably isn’t going to win me any awards from the foodies, but I’ve always found that doing a good job cooking a turkey is what makes it tasty. I can’t tell the difference between Heritage or whatever – granted, I’ve never tasted them side by side. But, some of the best turkeys I’ve ever roasted were the free ones from Tom Thumb. One of the worst ones I ever had was a pricey free-range one from Whole Foods (opened the package and it was rotten!).
